Your wedding day is a sacred celebration of the love you’ve built together. Just as your journey began with small, quiet moments that grew into a grand love story, we believe the intricate details of your wedding are just as important to your story as the "I do."

While we look forward to sharing the full story of Catelyn and Trenton’s stunning day in a later post, today we wanted to linger in the quiet beauty of their details.
Set against the backdrop of Whiteville, NC, this beautiful fall wedding was one of the last held at Pine Log Venue before it retired from hosting public events. Though the gates have closed, the elegance of the setting lives on through these captured moments
The Flat-Lay & Bridal Details
The morning of Catelyn and Trenton’s wedding at Pine Log began with a quiet, intentional stillness. As the November sun filtered through the morning fog, it brought a soft light that perfectly illuminated the warm autumn tones they chose for their day.
We began our coverage by gathering the details of both the bride and groom, documenting the quiet pieces that set the tone for the celebration ahead.
Flat-Lays & Textures: For stunning flat-lays, we source beautiful textures that serve as harmonious backgrounds. Whether it was the western-patterned rug we used for Trenton’s details or the soft, weathered blue wood for Catelyn’s, these elements add depth to the story. We then utilize soft lighting to illuminate each piece, showcasing their unique beauty and intricate details.
The Dress: As one of the most important shots of the day, we look for every opportunity to highlight the gown within your getting-ready space. We love capturing the personal touches that make a dress yours, like the blue heart Catelyn had sewn into her lining, repurposed from her grandfather’s shirt.
The Jewelry & Details: Your rings are just the beginning. From statement earrings to a perfectly manicured hand, every choice you make deserves to be celebrated. We make it a priority to document the fine details that you spent so much time perfecting.
The Floral Artistry
The floral design for this day spanned a breathtaking range of textures and tones. We captured everything from the rich, autumnal copper in the bouquets to the soft pastels and vintage pitchers adorning the ceremony. Each bloom added to the cozy, timeless soul of Catelyn and Trenton's celebration. To us, documenting these arrangements is about honoring the artistry and detail that bring a wedding vision to life.
The Tablescape & Atmosphere of the Wedding in Whiteville
There is a specific magic in the quiet hours before the celebration begins. While the bride and groom are getting ready, we love stepping into the reception space to capture the atmosphere while it is still untouched.
One of our favorite elements of Catelyn and Trenton’s wedding was their "In Loving Memory" dedication. Nestled among beautiful floral arrangements, they displayed wonderful candid family photos of their grandparents who had passed away. Capturing these portraits alongside the wedding decor was a way to honor the legacy that paved the way for the love we were celebrating that day.
The Quiet In-Between
There are tiny, fleeting moments that often only we get to witness as photographers as we move between details. At Pine Log specifically, the venue was alive with its own unique character from chickens wandering the grounds and bumblebees buzzing through the wildflowers to the quiet grace of the horses in the distance.
These natural elements are the heartbeat of the venue, yet they are often the pieces that a bride, groom, or guest might miss in the whirlwind of the day. We love spending those extra few minutes documenting these encounters because they make up the true essence of the environment. Capturing these details is more than just photography; it’s about preserving the tangible memories of a day that goes by in a blur.
